Prezzee launches two new Magical Moments experiences in time for the festive season
To help recapture the holiday spirit, Prezzee is bringing a touch of AI-powered magic to Christmas with the launch of two new personalised experiences, developed by Two Eyed People, as part of its Magical Moments experiences.
While Prezzee is known for providing digital gift cards to businesses and consumers, this foray into immersive digital experiences aims to help preserve the sentiment at the heart of Christmas and ties in to the business’ goal of creating opportunities for connection. Santa’s Nice List and Magical Christmas Carollers are designed to bring a little more magic and fun to the way Aussies connect with each other this festive season.
Each experience brings the joy of Christmas to life with opportunities for digitally personalised ways to connect with loved ones: in Santa’s Nice List, gift-givers can create a custom message “from Santa” himself, celebrating their recipient’s good deeds with their name, photo, and a personalised note of recognition – all beautifully paired with the option to purchase a special-edition Prezzee gift card.
Meanwhile, The Magical Christmas Carollers experience turns work teams, friends, or families into their very own festive choir. Perfect for both colleagues or clients, this playful experience allows businesses to upload photos and even add their company logo, transforming a thoughtful thank-you gift card into a fun and memorable moment of celebration.
The Magical Christmas Carollers offering comes at a timely moment in business gifting specifically, with over one third (35%) of Australians finding team celebrations or shared experiences to be the most meaningful gifts from an employer. For many, thoughtful gestures also resonate: three in ten (31%) of Australians say that receiving food or drink their employer knows they will enjoy is a meaningful gift, while one quarter (26%) consider employee awards to be the most significant gestures or presents from their workplace.
Despite Australians spending an average of 6.3 hours shopping for Christmas gifts each year, new research from Prezzee has uncovered a growing disconnect between the country’s gifting behaviours and desires.
Founded on the belief that gift-giving should spark human connection and turn moments into lasting memories, Prezzee is continuing its mission to reimagine the way Australians gift. After discovering that over one third (35%) of Australians have re-gifted unwanted gifts during the Christmas season, with three quarters (76%) reporting they find it difficult to even choose the right presents for friends, family and colleagues.
This isn’t down to a lack of effort: three in ten Aussies (29%) spend over 7 hours searching far and wide for the perfect present, and three in five (60%) have even tried turning to new channels, often relying only on online outlets for gifting needs.
What’s more, many Aussies appear to be concerned as to how their gifts will be received with over half (54%) reporting they are most stressed about getting something the recipient would like, and almost three in five (56%) claiming they would be upset to learn a gift they’ve given has been regifted.
The findings highlight a disconnect between the value of gifts given and the appreciation of those received.
“Christmas is a magical time of year for many Aussies and getting the right gifts can help transform a magical moment into a lasting memory,” said David Christie, Chief Growth Officer at Prezzee. “Using new technology, we’ve been able to make digital gift cards a truly personal experience and ensure that receiving a versatile Prezzee gift card is a memorable occasion.”
“We’re looking forward to seeing Aussies make lasting memories with families, friends and colleagues through Prezzee, giving gifts that people actually hold onto and experiences they can cherish.”
Designed to help Australians connect, celebrate, and show appreciation for their friends, family, and colleagues this Christmas, the experiences combine thoughtful technology with personalisation, making it easier than ever to give gifts that are genuinely wanted and appreciated – transforming festive stress into festive delight.
