Pitch Music & Arts 2026 launches new avant-garde style campaign ahead of ninth edition

Pitch Music & Arts has lifted the curtain on its 2026 campaign, returning to the Grampian Plains beneath Gariwerd from 6–10 March for its ninth edition.

This year’s creative direction, led by Untitled Group’s Sam Hayes and Edd Atchison, marks the beginning of a full-scale shift spanning visuals, stage architecture and on-ground experience. The campaign video, soundtracked by Charlotte De Witte’s Doppler, captures a surreal exchange between human and synthetic forms, drawing on expressionist cinema and sci-fi futurism.

Untitled Group Director of Marketing, Casey Serrao, says: “For us, avant-garde is about experimentation and risk-taking, pushing beyond what’s familiar to explore new ideas, aesthetics and experiences. We’re constantly challenging ourselves to do things differently, even a little unusually, to keep our community inspired, curious and engaged.”

Pitch continues to push the boundaries at the intersection of art, design and sound, collaborating with Resident Advisor, TOR Studio and Ambrose Zacharakis + Henry Howson to reimagine its three signature stages as architectural works. For 2026, the Pitch Black stage design is reimagined from its previous multi-level iterations, while a major new addition – the Pitch Rock Pool, a wellness precinct and swimming space – opens a fresh chapter for the festival.

Creative visionary Tom Supple (Dark Mofo, Rising Festival, Vivid Sydney, Perth Festival) also debuts as Arts Curator, expanding Pitch’s multidisciplinary vision through new commissions and immersive installations. The Pitch Pavilion returns as a space for tangible artworks, performances and wellbeing workshops.

Following several years under a ballot, Pitch has introduced a new Register and Reserve system, offering flexibility for patrons to secure tickets ahead of presale. Festival passes are available for two, three or four days with general camping included, plus Premium Camp, Eco Camp and Glamping upgrades.

As Pitch approaches its ninth year, it continues to evolve as one of Australia’s most progressive cultural gatherings, with its 2026 lineup to be announced soon.
