Performance director Sean Meehan returns to Australia and joins MOFA’s roster of directors

MOFA has welcomed Sean Meehan to its roster as he returns to Australian shores after over a decade working in the US and Europe.
Meehan, an accomplished performance director and cinematographer, has a body of work that spans the globe and almost every advertising sector. With storytelling at its core, Meehan’s approach creates a natural and effortless connection between brands and viewers.
Says Llew Griffiths, EP and co-founder of MOFA: “It is very exciting to have Sean back in this region. He made some iconic Australian work before taking his skills to other markets for a period of time. Having admired his ability to bring the tenderness of performance together with scale and great cinematography for a long time, I am looking forward to finally getting to work with him.”

Says Meehan: “After so long away I’m extremely excited to return to the nimbler, more intimate Australian production environment. I can’t wait to get on set again with the crews who nurtured and educated me as I cut my teeth, and re-engage with the world-class agencies with whom I did so much fulfilling work. I’ve learned a huge amount living and working in the US and feel I’ve never been a stronger filmmaker. After deliberating over the myriad of excellent production company options here in Australia, I ultimately chose MOFA (and was delighted when they chose me back!) They’re a large enough company to handle production at any scale, with a tight roster of extremely talented filmmakers. I’m excited to dive back in.”
