Paula Keamy and Tim Newton named Wunderman Thompson Perth Joint Creative Leaders: Junior team Jordan Ellis and Meg Watson promoted

Wunderman Thompson Perth enters a new creative era with new Joint Creative Leaders, new promotions and a search for a junior creative team.

Paula Keamy (pictured middle left) and Tim Newton (pictured right) have teamed up in the roles of Joint Creative Leads. After years at DDB and M&C Saatchi as both a Senior Creative and Creative Director, Keamy has exited the freelance world to join forces with long-time Wunderman Thompson, Perth talent Newton.

Says Keamy: “I thought I’d never want a permanent role again, but the amazing client mix, creative opportunity, team and culture at WT Australia were just too good to resist.”

Adds Newton: “We have an amazing group here and we’re both so proud to have the opportunity to lead such a talented creative department and help create great work for great clients.”

Also, as a stellar start to their short advertising careers that has seen them create campaigns for Western Power, Horizon Power, SBDC and most notably award-winning Anglicare WA, Jordan Ellis (pictured left) and Meg Watson (pictured middle right) have gone from AWARD School winners to industry winners in less than 12 months and been promoted to the roles of Copywriter and Art Director.

Says Watson and Ellis: “It’s been a whirlwind start for us. We’ve been lucky to work on a range of projects and trusted from the very beginning. We’re excited for Tim and Paula to become Creative Leads – they’ve been supportive and generous since the get go.”

Adds Keamy and Newton: “Jordon and Meg are seriously good people and have killed it on every challenge handed to them. This promotion couldn’t go to more deserving people, and we can’t wait to help them flourish even more.”

These promotions mark the start of a growing WT Perth creative department. Says João Braga, National Chief Creative Officer: “Our department is entering an exciting new chapter nationally, new local creative leadership in Perth with Paula and Tim, and Meg and Jordan taking the next step in their careers.”

“This means we’re also on the lookout for ambitious new talent to join us. It’s this young hunger that refuels our work at WT and the industry at large. It’s also a great reminder of the reasons we chose this profession in the first place.”

The search for a new junior team to fill Ellis and Watson’s considerable shoes has begun. If you’re interested, contact either: paula.keamy@wundermanthompson.com or tim.newton@wundermanthompson.com
