Frontcover.pngPaul Gregory Roberts, CEO of Branding Establishment Group, is set to release his second book, Next, An Armchair Guide to Your Future. Following its launch on the iPad in June, it will be available in-store from July. It will be sold through newsagents, book chains and speciality stores as well as through Borders and Barnes and Noble in the US UK, Canada and Asia.

The book is an update on Now, first published in 2005 where Roberts predicted changes over the next five years (many of which he claims came to pass) including the GFC, the rise of the iPhone and its digital convergence, rise of user generated content, the demise of the TV networks and the emergence of Internet TV.

paulroberts.pngNext includes a section on the next 20 years for media, marketing and advertising, as well as looking at the impact of science and technology on everyday life.

Roberts (left) says: “From mating and dating, from appliances to buildings, from communications to shopping, from advertising to education, from medicine to agriculture, your next 20 years is going to see science fiction become reality. The explosion of change due to the exponential advances in computing power combining with similarly exponential advances in Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Biotechnology, Robotics, and Nanotechnology, is about to shake the fabric of life as you know it to its core.”

Before starting Brand Entertainment Group, now one of four businesses operating under the banner of the Branding Establishment Group, Roberts was the founder/creative director of Desire Brand Management from 1994-2006. Before that he worked at George Patterson Bates and Leo Burnett in a variety of creative and strategy roles. He also spent six years as a marketer with Philip Morris.
