Palace and Panasonic use black to promo new Viera Neo Plasma televisions
Panasonic is promoting its latest range of VIERA Neo Plasma TVs with a new campaign based on the colour black. The new executions developed by The Campaign Palace are based on the strategy that the depth of black enhances the colour experience.
“Superior picture quality is directly related to how black the blacks are. The colours themselves become more vibrant when contrasted with a blacker background. Panasonic’s improvements in Neo Plasma technology have made their blacks an industry benchmark,” says Palace Sydney CD, Cameron Hoelter.

“What with black plagues, black moods, black hats and black cats,’black’ has never had a particularly good reputation. But it ishowever, exceptionally good at one thing. When you put something goodin front of it, it sure as hell stands out.”
The animated creative executions were produced byGerman illustrator Mark Gmehling and production company Nexus anddirected by the multi-award winning London team of Adam Foulkes andAlan Smith whose credits include Honda grrr, Lemony Snickett,Thunderbirds and the BBC’s animated comedy show Monkey Dust.
The TV, POS and DM campaign breaks this week.

Soooo this is the PR version is it?
LOVE IT! feels very fresh
2.10 – I think PR versions are generally made up as smaller files to be emailed out, not different ads
racist

ive got one of these tellies but i dont think these ads do it justice…actually i think they make the superior tech spec look rather childish….nice animation but wont sell one telly…lucky the product is good.
An interesting insight for once in this category…..and lovely execution and crafting. I actually enjoyed watching it multiple times. Nice work again from Cam and team.
Really nice.
Hey 11.40! Cheer up old fellah! Have a little fun for once, fuuuuuucking hell, life (and the tellie) isn’t all about the tech spec is it?
The animations may be well executed, but the ad is offensive if you’re black and yes I think its racist.
good ad, it brings the message across but don’t you think it could be classified as racist??? I do!
