The One Club announced today the winners for the 5th Annual One Show Entertainment Awards, which celebrates the year’s best in branded entertainment.
There were 89 winners from 65 agencies and 15 countries who emerged from a competitive pool of just under a thousand submissions.
The Aussie expats at Leo Burnett New York secured highest honors by winning Best of Show and two Golds for its work, “New York Writes Itself” for the Village Voice.
Gold Pencil winners included “Dumb Ways To Die” for Metro Trains by McCann Melbourne, “The Beauty Inside, Episode 1” for Intel & Toshiba by Pereira & O’Dell, “Hashtag Killer Case Study” for Water is Life by DDB New York (Aussie expat Matt Eastwood is chief creative officer) and “Stadium UK” for BBC Sport by RKCR Y&R, London.
Says Michael Nadeau, managing director of The One Club West: “We saw a lot of compelling work whose aim was to uplift their audiences. Branded entertainment across different media aspired to change perceptions, ranging from how we treat each other and general outlook on life. This year’s winners demonstrated that branded entertainment can simultaneously make a positive brand impression while making a difference.”
Overall, there were 19 Gold Pencil Winners, 27 Silver Pencil Winners, 17 Bronze Pencil winners and 26 Merit winners who were honored at Deutsch LA in Los Angeles on June 13.

Fantastic haul Mr Benjamin & Co!
I love the New York play idea. I honestly do, so please don’t take this the wrong way but can someone tell me the brand it is advertising? The village voice domain cited on the poster doesn’t seem to work.
