OMD ranks #4 in 2019 Best Places to Work Study in 100+ category; Versa ranks #7 in Under 100s

After featuring in the Great Place to Work ’50 Best Places to Work’ study for the past 11 years, OMD Australia has reached its highest ever ranking, coming in at number 4 for companies with over 100 employees. Wavemaker has retained its #18 ranking in the category. VERSA has placed 7th in the under 100 employees category – and is the top ranked agency in the category, followed by The Works at #17.

This is the 12th Annual Edition of the Best Places to Work benchmarking study in Australia. The success of the Best Places to Work Australia publication is a testament to Australian organisations willpower and innovation to retain happy, engaged, loyal, high performing workforces.

The study is conducted based on one of the world’s most comprehensive studies of workplace culture by Great Place to Work Australia.

Says Aimee Buchanan, CEO, OMD Australia: “Commercial success and culture are never mutually exclusive. We wouldn’t be as successful as we’ve been without our continued focus on our people and culture.”

Says Peter Vogel, chief executive officer, Wavemaker Australia & New Zealand: “Future-proofing our agency as we lead the way in this digital, data-driven world is at the heart of our vision. We can’t do that without creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported and inspired. But it’s not just about business results. As an employer, we are responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of our employees, and so we work hard on the things that count, including providing the right support and recognising and rewarding good work.”

Says Kath Blackham, CEO, VERSA: “The VERSA culture is very special, and I think it’s fair to say unrivalled – it’s about passion, innovation and expertise. We strongly believe in valuing and nurturing our talent and recognise that our team work hard in very demanding and high-pressure roles. The truth is we all need flexibility to manage our complex lives and commitments. I’m exceptionally proud that VERSA has been recognised among 2019 Best Places to Work Study.”

Says Kevin Macmillan, co-founder and creative partner, The Works: “Being recognised for the effective work we produce for clients is always appreciated, but this is the one that means the most to us at The Works. As is often said, this industry is built on its people, so to be named as one of the best places to work across all Australian businesses is an accolade I’m super proud of.”

Says Jasmine Lansdell, director of people and culture, The Works: “We’ve spent a lot of time reviewing and adding to our programs over the last year to ensure we continue supporting the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our employees. It’s an ongoing process, but to be recognised as one of the best places to work in the country for the second time in two years shows we’re delivering for our exceptional team.”

The 2019 Best Places to Work will be published in a feature insert in the Australian Financial Review and http://www.greatplacetowork.com.au today, Wednesday 28 August 2019.
