OMD expands Sydney strategy team with Melissa Mullins promoted to strategy group head and Sarah Yems appointed to strategist role

Melissa Mullins.jpgOMD today announced the expansion of the Sydney strategy team. Former director of strategy & content, Melissa Mullins (left) has been promoted to Sydney strategy group head and Sarah Yems has been appointed as strategist.

 

Mullins has worked in marketing communications for the last 10 years across London and Sydney focusing much of her career on branded content development and engagement planning. Mullins has worked with OMD since 2008 most recently within OMD’s branded content & engagement planning division Fuse where she worked across a diverse range of clients including Tourism Australia, Nivea, Clinique and McDonald’s for whom she won a Silver Cannes Lion in 2009 for the McDonald’s sponsorship of Australian Idol.

Sarah Yems.jpgYems (left) is OMD’s new resident Oxford graduate. She graduated with an upper second in English language and literature in 2005 and has spent the last 7 years honing her strategic skills in agencies across London and Switzerland. Yems has worked in through the line roles focusing on PR, digital, crisis communication and thought leadership with core brands such as BT, Intel, Symbian, Asus and Procter & Gamble.

Says Alistair Henderson, national head of strategy: “Both Melissa and Sarah have diverse experience in through the line and engagement marketing. Their appointments will continue to strengthen our commitment to delivering exciting, consumer centric-planning.”

Both appointments are effective immediately.
