Campaign Brief 341.pngOgilvyOne continues to build its agency credentials luring international award winning direct expert, Edgar Rouwenhorst from Ogilvy Amsterdam to join its team as strategy planner.

Rouwenhorst brings a great depth of knowledge and diversity of expertise to OgilvyOne’s portfolio with high-end strategy and e-consulting experience.

Prior to Ogilvy Amsterdam, where he focussed on key client IBM, he worked at KPMG and Bower and Croon in Holland.

Initially Rouwenhorst’s responsibilities will encompass strategic planning counsel for two of OgilvyOne’s new international clients both seeking consulting support as they launch into their respective Australian markets.

Says Jason Hill, head of strategy, OgilvyOne: “Edgar’s appointment comes at a time when our business and client needs are continually evolving and as we rapidly increase the amount of strategic engagement we have with clients. Edgar adds a new dimension to our strategy team and an enviable offering for our clients.”

Rouwenhorst said he was excited at the prospect of joining an Australian agency and putting his skills to use while gaining exposure to new specialist skills.

He added: “It’s obvious that the way companies and consumers interact are influenced by social media. But to create real involvement and increase customer value, companies have to know how to collect and use all the relevant data that consumers share online. I can’t wait to help clients with this challenge. Joining OgilvyOne Sydney and working collaboratively with the global Ogilvy team will provide me with an opportunity to add value in a totally new market influenced by global technologies.”

Rouwenhorst joins a growing OgilvyOne team including data strategist Hamish Hartley, a strategist with a proven record for identifying marketing opportunities in the depths of customer data; and, CRM planner Mel Johnstone who has extensive experience building compelling messages to targeted groups of audiences.

The OgilvyOne strategy team continues to draw on the skills of digital planner, Emily Kelley and Social Media Specialist, Roger Christie, to provide the full range of social CRM capabilities.

“With the new strategy team in place we are well-positioned to help clients solve complex CRM and loyalty-type challenges that are focussed on unlocking customer value through to more consulting questions such as product development and positioning ,” said Michelle Holland, managing partner OgilvyOne
