Ogilvy NZ appoints Kim Ellison to group head role with special responsibilty on KFC
After a period consulting to Ogilvy NZ, Kim Ellison has been appointed group head to add to the agency’s retail offering.
“Kim is a classy writer who has won heaps of awards during her career. She’ll work across the board but have special responsibility on KFC – our latest work for KFC NZ is already benefiting from her influence.” says ECD Damon O’Leary.
Ellison last full time gig was at DDB where she produced award-winning work on The Warehouse. She left the agency in May last year. She will work with Graham Dolan, Ogilvy’s retail CD and partner with Gaelyn Churchill.
Says Ellison “I’m excited to be working with the team here on some great clients – even though Damon wouldn’t let me do backing vocals for the Hathaways, I’m working on that though.”

She’ll need to pork up a bit to work effectively on KFC.
