Nokia releases new teaser for its global ‘No Time To Die’ Bond campaign via Grey London
Recently HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, announced it was the official phone partner for the 25th James Bond film No Time to Die. Today HMD Global has launched the first glimpse of the commercial which will kick off the company’s largest ever global marketing campaign, ‘The Only Gadget You’ll Ever Need’, starring Lashana Lynch, developed by Grey London.
A range of Nokia phones will appear in the No Time To Die film, forming part of an integrated campaign. The global campaign, launching closer to the November release of the movie, features the new 00 agent, Nomi, played by Lynch. It will scale across 80 countries, running across cinema, digital, social, OOH and retail.
The video advertisement, featuring Lashana Lynch as Agent Nomi, was inspired by the film and directed by BAFTA Award-winning director Amma Asante (Pulse Films).
The video commercial is filmed against the backdrop of the distinctive London skyline featuring St Paul’s and The Shard. Agent Nomi utilises the range of capabilities on her new, soon to be revealed Nokia smartphone, to complete her mission.
Speaking about her experience with HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, Lynch explained: “My first phone was actually a Nokia 3210 when I was about ten years old. In retrospect, it was my smartphone of the 90’s. Being able to change the buttons and faces, whilst playing Snake blew my mind! So, after seeing how much Nokia smartphones have evolved over the years from my childhood to now, it’s exciting to play Nomi who helps unveil a new smartphone for this iconic brand.”
Says Asante: “I am always drawn to projects that portray women as strong and intellectual – the campaign script was beautifully crafted to present Nomi as a kick ass agent not afraid of going up against the bad guys and doing it with irreverent humour at the same time.”
Today, HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones announced three new Nokia smartphones, a new member of the Originals family and its brand-new hassle-free data roaming service. The Nokia 8.3 5G is the first 5G Nokia smartphone added to the portfolio, and is joined by the brand-new Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3, as well as the latest addition to the Originals family, the Nokia 5310. Sticking with firsts, HMD Global also enters a brand-new service category with HMD Connect global data roaming, its innovative and hassle-free service that keeps you connected to the things that matter most.
Alongside the four new devices and brand-new roaming service, HMD Global grows its footprint announcing expansion into Brazil this year. Also, to celebrate the phone partnership with the 25th Bond movie, in cinemas in November, fans can now get their hands on an exclusive 007 branded special edition Kevlar Case for the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2.
Says Florian Seiche, chief executive officer, HMD Global: “I am incredibly proud of the innovations we have introduced today that build on our unique commitment to ensuring the Nokia smartphone experience will only get better over time. Today we are kicking off a new chapter for HMD Global as we step into 5G with a truly global, future-proof smartphone. Combines with the launch of HMD Connect, we are creating a truly seamless experience in terms of connectivity.”
