Noisy Beast’s Elevator Pitch event sees Coco Walsh and Clea McKeown secure paid internships

Noisy Beast has successfully wrapped up its inaugural Elevator Pitch event, an initiative designed to give recent graduates a rare opportunity to break into the advertising industry. The event, which featured panel discussions, networking opportunities, and one-on-one pitch sessions, culminated in two talented individuals securing a full-time, paid internship at the agency.
Over 40 ambitious graduates attended the event, with 32 stepping up to deliver a 60second elevator pitch to Noisy Beast’s leadership team. Two standout candidates, Coco Walsh (above left) and Clea McKeown (above right), secured 6-12 month paid internships commencing January 2025, with Walsh joining the creative department and McKeown moving into account management.
The entire campaign was developed internally by Noisy Beast, showcasing the agency’s ability to bring creative ideas to life from concept to execution. The original idea for the Elevator Pitch event was born out of an internal agency sprint—an innovative workshop model that brings together diverse talent and specialisms to tackle challenges from all angles. Noisy Beast runs these sessions both for clients and for its own business, ensuring fresh thinking and problem-solving at every level.

Recognising that the job market is highly competitive, with many young professionals struggling to secure opportunities, Noisy Beast sought to create an initiative that went beyond a standard internship program. While traditional internships offer opportunities to a select few, the Elevator Pitch event aimed to support as many emerging talents as possible, providing exposure, industry insights, and networking opportunities—while also leading to the hiring of not just one, but two outstanding candidates.
“We want to keep great, passionate minds coming into the industry – but recognise that it’s hard to get a start,” said Noisy Beast Group Managing Director, Dave Brown. “By hosting the Elevator Pitch, we not only got to meet 40 enthusiastic individuals keen to break into the industry, but we also gave them an opportunity to build their network and gain invaluable insights. We’re thrilled to welcome Coco and Clea to the team and look forward to making this an ongoing initiative.”

The campaign was a full-office effort, demonstrating Noisy Beast’s symbiotic model that brings together creative idea generation, content production, media amplification, and social strategy. By showcasing the breadth of opportunities available across all divisions of the business, the event gave attendees a clear view of the dynamic career paths within the agency.
Reflecting on her experience, McKeown shared, “I left the pitch night feeling that, even if I hadn’t received the internship, I had gained industry insights, built my network, and experienced pitching myself in person. Noisy Beast has been welcoming and supportive from the minute I walked into the event, and now, two months in, I’m proud to be part of the team.”
Walsh echoed the sentiment: “Breaking into the creative industry as a graduate with no experience is incredibly difficult. I struggled for a year, applying for over 30 roles before discovering the Noisy Beast Pitch Night. It’s rare to see companies investing this level of time and effort into young talent. I stepped out of my comfort zone, and it paid off. I’m super grateful to be at Noisy and can’t wait to keep learning.”
With the success of the Elevator Pitch event, Noisy Beast is committed to fostering emerging talent and ensuring the next generation of creatives and strategists have the opportunities they need to thrive.
