Nikon Australia has engaged photographer Stef King to put its new NIKKOR Z 24-70 mm f1.2 S II to the test. Built lighter, faster and sharper than ever, it’s made to keep up with the action, no matter how quick it moves.

Says King: “It’s always a pleasure to get a call from Nikon to test something new! Gear isn’t everything but in a world that moves so fast, it needs to keep up. Taking advantage of a very sunny day and a location I knew was architecturally striking, I enlisted the help of Will and James, two parkour athletes I’d previously met on a commercial shoot.

“My brief to them was simple: let’s get up early and see what we can all do. I knew I wanted to play with the sun’s deep shadows, and by taking advantage of the autofocus tracking, I was able to shoot entire sequences of the guys in motion, making it easy to capture those precise moments where athleticism meets art.”

Stef King is represented by Flint Productions in Sydney.
