Nicole Taylor departs GPY&R to join DDB as managing partner, heading up Volkswagen
DDB Group has snared GPY&R Sydney managing partner Nicole Taylor as managing partner, heading up the Volkswagen business.
Taylor has been at GPY&R on and off for the last decade, except for a two year stint at BWM from 2006 until 2008 and one year at Telstra in 2003 to 2004.
Volkswagen is one of the largest and most integrated accounts at DDB, with a team of over 15 people across advertising, direct, digital, CRM, community management, sponsorship, experiential and events.
Taylor brings with her over 15 years of industry experience and is heralded as one of the top women in advertising. She has worked with brands including Telstra, Optus, GIO and Arnotts in her career. She is a passionate spokesperson for issues concerning women in advertising, currently sits on the NSW committee of The Communication Council, and was general manager of the Mobile Alliance – a WPP collective that pioneered mobile marketing in Australia.
Taylor will begin at DDB in February, based in the Sydney office.

Great person. Good luck nicole
Frying pan – fire.
Yay Nic. Well done. Good luck with the new role.
Did DDB actually give her equity in the business? If they did that’s amazing and Nicole is doing unbelievably well. However I suspect not. If I’m correct for gods sake don’t call people partners that actually are not. Its silly.
Unless someone gets a significant equity stake in the business stop calling them a partner. Its silly. If Nicole did, well done. I suspect however DDB are not giving away slabs of their business.
Nic is awesome and DDB is a perfect fit.
Big loss for Patts. Really enjoyed working with Nic when I was there. And Ventuno will certainly miss her business.
What wonderful news for a wonderful person. Good luck Nic, and congrats to your team, they are very lucky to have you.
Nice one Nic, and good luck with the new job. Sure you’ll kill it.
Congratulations Nic and DDB. An excellent suit and a lovely person to work with.
Congratulations DDB, great hire. I’d work with Nic again in a heartbeat. Nice one Nic.
