News Limited and REA Group form marketing alliance to target real estate market; launch new digital and print offering ‘Prestige Plus Package’
Australia’s largest media publisher News Limited and Australia’s number one property site realestate.com.au, owned by REA Group Limited, today announced that the companies have entered into a marketing alliance to strengthen the service both companies provide real estate agent customers.
As part of the alliance a new digital and print advertising offer known as the Prestige Plus Package has been introduced allowing, for the first time, agents to provide their vendors with an advertising offer incorporating News Limited’s print products and realestate.com.au’s digital products, which span online, mobile and tablets.
The Prestige Plus Package is launching today with News Limited’s Wentworth Courier, with other markets being assessed for suitability of similar offers.
The marketing alliance will also see increased realestate.com.au branding across News Limited newspapers and greater content synergies between news.com.au/realestate and realestate.com.au.
News Limited’s executive group director – commercial & operations Jerry Harris said that the introduction of the Prestige Plus Package further strengthens News Limited’s relationship with Australia’s largest property advertising site.
Says Harris “The Prestige Plus Package provides real estate customers and vendors an opportunity to maximise the visibility of their property listings and reach potential buyers outside their local area, giving them expansive reach and outstanding value for money.”
REA Group Limited’s general manager strategy and corporate development Paul Simos said REA Group is always looking for opportunities to build on the exceptional and measurable value they provide customers and vendors.
Says Simos: “Ultimately, the Prestige Plus Package is about providing real estate agents with an opportunity to generate even better results for their vendors and providing confidence that their property will have a high level of exposure for the duration of the selling period.
“Through the advertising offer, we’re able to help our customers be more competitive in a listing presentation, win further listings, promote their brands and provide the best possible return on investment for their vendors’ marketing dollars.”
The products comprising the Prestige Plus Package are still able to be purchased independently from each company should customers decide not to take advantage of the offer.
Simos explained that this is a commercial activity designed to benefit customers, vendors and property seekers, with both companies continuing to service their customer bases as they do today.
News Limited is a 61.6% shareholder of REA Group Limited, an ASX listed company, which operates realestate.com.au.
