Network 10 launches ELEVEN OUT OF TEN development initiative for local production
This year’s SPAA Conference announced the launch of an exciting new development initiative from the Ten Network: ELEVEN OUT OF TEN. The finalists will pitch at the conference, with the winner announced at the lunch on 19 November in Sydney. To celebrate the launch of their new digital channel, ELEVEN, Network Ten is holding a nationwide search for Australia’s next big TV sensation.
Launching in 2011, ELEVEN will be the home of bold and funentertainment for a distinctly youthful audience. ELEVEN will targetthe 13-29 demographic with a unique line-up of Australian andinternational programming.
ELEVEN OUT OF TEN is open to anyone living in Australia who thinks they know what it takes to excite an audience. Network Ten is seeking proposals for either a television series or special. It can be anything from comedy, to observational documentary, light entertainment or drama – as long as it holds a strong appeal for a youthful audience. Applications close: 5pm Friday 15 October 2010.
Five finalists will be selected to pitch their concept to a panel of judges during the SPAA Conference. Paul Leadon and Rick Maier, Network Ten Executives will head the panel.
Finalists will be awarded a full 3-day registration at the 2010 SPAA Conference with travel and accommodation to be provided by Network Ten.
