13cabs launches 13things – a 24/7 “instant” delivery service via Thinkerbell, Melbourne
Today, Australia’s 40,000 professional 13cabs Drivers, with their 10,000 nationwide cab fleet, announce the launch of 13things. 13cabs is proud to launch 13things: a speedy and touchless delivery system available 24/7.
13things is especially relevant given the increasingly restrictive conditions people are living under, as a result of the physical isolation measures during Coronavirus.
Says Rebecca Fyson, head of marketing, 13cabs: “We’re proud to bring this innovative addition to our customers, as we help our all Australians continue living as normally as possible. By launching 13things today, we hope to give our Australian community piece of mind that they’ll be able to access all the things, like essential medicines and groceries they require while adjusting to these unusual circumstances.
We’re also finding a large B2B demand for the new service that 13things will provide as well, with food deliveries for cafes and restaurants.
Says Jim Ingram, chief tinker, Thinkerbell: “Now is not the time to be playing with the kerning of the 13cabs logo. It’s a time to work with the brand on genuine innovation and solutions that will help during this time. We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in making this happen.”
Australians can either book a parcel delivery via the 13cabs app, the dedicated www.13things.com.au or by calling the 24/7 local customer support team on 13 2227.
Adds Fyson: “Once a delivery order is placed with 13things, the average pick up time for a parcel is 10 minutes. We never surge charge Australians for a 13cabs ride, and we definitely won’t be surging for deliveries.

This is great – as it says this is far more helpful than the golden arches being seperated or spacing the coke name in Times Square.
they had to do something when uber said 50-60% off for 6 mths
uber also going into delivery.
this looks good yes – but uber will be way cheaper.
and in a time with no $ I know who will win that one.
*way cheaper when they’re not running freaking-huge surcharges
Nice campaign.
Where is the creative…is this it?
Hardly compelling. Just..straight.
13 Cabs is hard… I mean – the immediate thing that happens whenever I personally see or hear the brand – is my brain psychologically recalls the distinct smell of soaked BO and cigarettes, and the motion sickness of stop/start hard breaking/accelerating. I think society has been Pavlov’d. And the worse type – where some cabbies were actually good sprinkled in the bad experiences… so it actually cemented the behaviour.
Just rip the cord. Rebrand proper. Make sure your cabbies aren’t shit.
13 Cabs as a name is the most poisonous part of your brand.
Couldn’t agree more.
Sorry, I just can’t get over the ‘Chief Tinker’ title. Made my night.
