Multi award-winning sound designer Damian Waddell relocates to Song Zu Sydney

Multi award-winning sound designer, Damian Waddell, has relocated back to Song Zu Sydney after over a decade as head of sound at Song Zu in Singapore.

Sydney born and raised, Waddell left for Singapore in 2010 for what was an initial two year contract. This was soon extended as it became evident that he was becoming the number one go-to sound designer in South East Asia. During his time in Singapore, Waddell sound designed and mixed almost every major brand campaign to come out of the country including those for Tiger Beer, Singapore Airlines, Singapore Tourism Board, Standard Chartered Bank and Changi Airport.

His sound design for Droga5’s Tiger Beer Wok spot was awarded gongs at the CCAs, Adfest and AWARD Award, and he makes regular appearances on the winners lists for all award festivals in APAC and beyond.

Says Waddell: “I’m really looking forward to connecting with some old and new faces and getting stuck into some good work. Living and working in Singapore for the past 11 years has been an amazing ride, but I’m excited to be back on home soil to continue following my passion for producing world class sound design”.
