MTV Exit + rock artist Alex Kavvadias launch original song and music video to fight human trafficking + exploitation via 18 Feet & Rising
18 Feet & Rising Sydney and award-winning rock artist Alex Kavvadias, today celebrate the launch of a music video aimed at raising awareness of the issue and impact of human trafficking and exploitation around the world. Kavvadias is an Australian-born Greek artist.
The music video titled “False Hope” was produced in collaboration with MTV Exit (End
Exploitation and Trafficking) – the largest anti-human trafficking campaign in the world. The
gripping four-minute music video takes viewers inside the emotional story of a mother saying
goodbye to her young daughter who leaves home to follow the promise of a job and new life.
Hope for a better future soon fades as the girl finds herself trapped in the world of modern day
slavery.
18 Feet & Rising Sydney created the cinematic video and it was directed by Juliet Taylor. The
lyrics were written by Dejan Rasic, executive creative director, 18 Feet & Rising, with music by the band Miss Cherry and production by AMMOS Music in Greece.
Says Kavvadias: “I’m truly honoured to be part of such an important global project. The trafficking of humans is one of the great evils of our time and I hope this song and video can help make a difference.”
Says Rasic: “The MTV Exit team do a truly phenomenal job of bringing the issue of human trafficking and exploitation into the mainstream. I’ve had the honor of working with some hugely talented people to bring this project to life and I’m grateful for their contribution to the cause.”

This is a really strong piece of work and Immaculately executed.
These exit videos are getting darker and darker.
Thanks, now I won’t be sleeping tonight.
This video and song really brought tears to my eyes. It depicts the raw truth/reality of the situation and how a person’s life can change from one minute to the next drastically. This really awakens people and work like this is very important and messages like these must be more consistent and louder so that people can begin to take action on an individual and collective level. This artist’s voice is beautiful and very emotional and I cannot imagine a better song to match this video and voice. I rarely come across such good quality work.
I still prefer the first ones from crc
