Melle Branson joins Truce’s commercial roster
If you haven’t heard of the powerhouse that is Melle Branson yet, you soon will. The emerging director, who has also worked under the pseudonym Till Death, has signed to Truce’s roster for commercial representation across the east coast of Australia.
Shortlisted for both the 2023 YDA Young Director Award at Cannes and the 2022 AWARD Awards Emerging Director of the Year, Branson’s star is clearly on the rise.
Her recent work via Amplify includes Nike Presents: 1000 Victories – a 19-part TikTok documentary and the first community-powered documentary on the platform. Powered by UGC, the platform’s first documentary celebrated and showcased victory in the football community from all over Australia and NZ, revealing the game’s beauty and its impact on broader culture and society, amassing over 14 million views.
She also partnered with DDB senior copywriter Anneliese Sullivan to jointly win The Only One In The Room’s inaugural Destroy This Brief competition for their series pitch ‘Mad Things’, a project aimed at shifting perceptions of advertising in pop culture to ultimately attract diverse talent to the industry.
Says Elise Trenorden, executive producer, Truce: “Melle’s making work that is so interesting, relevant and different to everything else that’s out there. I love the way that she views the world, through her energetic and empathetic lens. This move was a no-brainer for Truce, and you’ll see why once you have the privilege of collaborating with her.”
