Melbourne indie agency Bullfrog refreshes leadership with new executive appointments

Melbourne independent agency Bullfrog has announced a refreshed executive leadership team including Georgia Newton as general manager, Mike Ronkoske as chief strategy officer and Tim Shelley as newly created role of chief brand and experience officer.
Newton joins from Daniel’s Donuts, where she was head of marketing, and brings a wealth of experience across both client and agency sides. Prior to Daniel’s Donuts, she led marketing and innovation strategy at Special Australia for Bonds, Chobani and Coopers Brewery. Prior to that, she held senior roles at global creative agencies including R/GA New York and Goodby Silverstein & Partners, where she oversaw large teams and drove business growth across a broad range of sectors—telecom, entertainment, music, insurance, and engineering.
Ronkoske takes on the role of chief strategy officer, bringing over 20 years of experience across global agencies and consultancies, including Neighbourhood Strategy, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Venables Bell and Partners and Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Energy BBDO Chicago and Saatchi & Saatchi LA working across a range of major local and global clients including TAC, Department of Education (Australian Federal Government), Heinz, Nike, Mars Wrigley, Cathay Pacific and Microsoft, to name a few.
Shelley, who has been with Bullfrog for over three years, steps into the newly created role of chief brand and experience officer. Shelley, who initially joined the agency as creative director, has over 15 years of high-profile creative, brand and product experience. Over his career in Australia and the United States, Shelley has delivered globally recognised brand and experience projects for the likes of Google, Levi’s, Honda, Strava and more. Most notably, his work as creative director at AKQA San Francisco contributed to IBM being recognised in Fast Company’s 2019 Innovation by Design Awards.
The appointments follow a string of recent leadership additions including Phoebe Sloane as creative director, Amanda Nicoll as group business director, Madieson Ryan as earned specialist, Joy Hudson as senior business director and Alex Weston as business director.
Further executive appointments are expected in the coming months.
