Melbourne independent creative studio Your Creative wins two Gold Anthem Awards

Your Creative has received two Gold Awards in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at the 5th Annual Anthem Awards, run by The Webby Awards.

Madam Speaker and Rosie — self-funded digital tools built in collaboration with Victoria Women’s Trust — were built by women, for women, and are driving meaningful, measurable progress in gender equality.

The awards ceremony was held in New York, where the Anthem Awards team showcased and celebrated purpose-driven work that is reshaping the world for the better. Winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, whose judges this year include leaders from Planned Parenthood, the American Heart Association, IKEA, TikTok, NAACP, Tom’s of Maine, REI Co-op and more.

Madam Speaker is Australia’s first digital archive of women’s speeches, featuring 200+ voices historically silenced. Your Creative’s female-led team transformed a dense Excel spreadsheet into an accessible platform that bridges critical gender gaps in the national narrative. Built pro-bono with open-source foundation, it invites public contributions, creating a growing living archive that evolves with community input.

Rosie is a digital platform empowering young women with critical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Your Creative rebranded this 10-year harm prevention initiative through co-design workshops with teens aged 14-18, creating a bold identity that doesn’t feel government-affiliated. The visual strategy drew directly from these insights — using Y2K aesthetics, custom emojis, and flexible graphic frames to produce unlimited content on sensitive topics.

Says Lauren Crystal, Managing Director, Your Creative: “We’re seeing firsthand how digital and communication design can influence progress. Madam Speaker and Rosie were underfunded passion projects, but we believed in what they stood for. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when purpose-led projects get the creative care they deserve. I hope these wins encourage Australia to back more gender equality initiatives, and give them the investment they need to really thrive.”

Says Dr Kirsten Abernethy, Executive Director, Victorian Women’s Trust: “We knew we needed designs with the beauty, power and integrity to honour the voices of the women and girls at the heart of these two projects. Good design is about more than looking beautiful. It ensures our work reaches the people who will benefit from it the most. For us, the work we do and the communities we serve, that reach is incredibly important.”

Says Allyson Oliver-Perham, Communications Manager, Victoria Women’s Trust: “We’re immensely proud to work collaboratively with the talented team at Your Creative. Finding innovative and empowering ways to ignite curiosity about the lived experiences of women, girls and gender diverse people is a powerful way to drive social change. Your Creative understands this implicitly, and it’s clearly evident in their work. Not only did they realise our vision for both Rosie and Madam Speaker, Your Creative elevated it. We are deeply grateful.”
