Melbourne adman Tim Bathurst’s short film ‘Train Girl’ in contention at 2011 Tropfest Film Festival
With Valentine’s Day looming, it’s timely that Melbourne based adman Tim Bathurst’s short film ‘Train Girl’ is an entrant in the 2011 Tropfest Film Festival in Sydney and is currently in contention for a finalist position for the big night on Sunday 20th February.
To watch the film and vote simply follow this link and click the green thumbs up that appears on screen.
Says Bathurst: “We just wanted to make something simple and quirky that most people could relate too. Rather than glamorizing the romance of a crush we thought it better to expose the behind the scenes thoughts and nerves you go through. Hope you enjoy it and vote as much as you like.”
The story follows Benny who thinks of himself as a pretty extraordinary talent. As a fearless hunter, athlete and ruler of the great outdoors there’s nothing that stands in his way, well, all except for maybe one thing. ‘Train Girl’ is a mockumentary about man’s universal challenge. The courage to clear the mind and to follow the heart.
The films was produced by VCA graduate Tim Potter and shot by DoP Brett Ludeman on location in Melbourne with music by San Cisco and Inland Sea.
