Mel B stars in new TV commercial for Jenny Craig airing in Australia and NZ via Chocolate Studios
A whirlwind visit to Melbourne has left leading weight management company Jenny Craig with a new suite of commercials featuring ex Spice Girl Mel B.
Created by Chocolate Studios, the new campaign shows a fit and svelte Mel B telling Australians that Jenny Craig works and that she has maintained her 16 kilos weight loss for over two years.
According to Jenny Craig’s director of marketing, Stephanie Malkin, Mel B has proven to be one of the most successful ambassadors for the brand.
Says Malkin: “One of the brands key points of difference is that we help teach clients lifelong healthy eating habits and Mel B is living proof of our success.”
The campaign includes one 30 second and two 15 second TVCs and will air in both Australia and New Zealand from March through to May.
Mel B said that Jenny Craig played a huge part in her getting her life back on track after gaining weight from having babies.
Says Mel B: “I want to tell Australians and New Zealanders how happy I still am two years later. I learnt the lessons to not only lose the weight, but also keep it off. That to me is everything.”
Jenny Craig’s PR agency, Project PR provided public relations support for the campaign securing interviews for Mel B with Sunrise, New Idea, Kyle & Jackie O and News Limited during the shoot.

I would NEVER go try Jenny Craig when you are using a not Australian person to promote it… 😖 Really?? Can’t stand the ads, mute them or change the channel
I would never, ever use or support Jenny Craig as the ads are a TOTAL turnoff. So repetitive and annoying with Mel B. For God’s sake, get someone else!
I have to say love the ads or not they work! I dont think the creative is directed at cool women in black sitting in ad agencies reading Campaign Brief 🙂
Totally agree with those people suggesting Mel B be dropped from the ad campaign.
Her shrill aggressive sounding voice barking “Jenny Craig WORKS people” doesn’t work & is as off putting as her demanding sounding voice; “call Jenny Craig NOW”
You can do MUCH better!
