Meg Drummond joins Mighty Sound as senior producer

Sydney-based sound design specialists Mighty Sound has appointed Meg Drummond as senior producer, further building its growth since launching two years ago.

Drummond joins the team after spending five years at Song Zu / MassiveMusic, where she worked across audio and music production on a huge array of award-winning local and international works. Drummond’s versatility in production and as a singer and VO artist for more than 15 years, has given Australia the voice to some of the most recognisable earworms and brand campaigns in the industry.

Says Matt Perrott, creative director at Mighty Sound: “To have someone of Meg’s proficiency join the team is incredible. She brings a real sense of experience, creative knowledge, energy and fun to the studio, whilst her extensive exposure to both short-form and long-form work aligns strongly with our brand.”

Says Drummond: “This moment marks an exhilarating juncture as I step into the fold at Mighty Sound. Embarking on this new chapter means collaborating with both familiar and new faces on creative and beautiful projects. I am thrilled to harmonise my values and expertise with the brand’s ethos and share our collective creativity and experience. And yes, It’s a package deal, little Chewie has also joined the team too.”

Additionally, Mighty welcomes the Mighty Chewbacca (aka Chewie), the notorious client favourite studio snuggle dog and Drummond’s personal assistant.

Since launching its new studio in Annandale, Mighty Sound has gone from strength to strength. Working across TVC, social, film, television and podcasting, Mighty Sound picked up ASSG Awards for Sound Design in Advertising for “Dexus: Before Day One” and a Clio Award for Audio for its work on “Boys Do Cry”.
