Great use of free loft space.
I don’t know Lachie McPherson. He is clearly highly talented. And good luck to him. This to me just smacks of bet hedging. I would respect the move more if he decided to start his own shop with his own creative vision without the crutch of a giant network backing him up. That’s what the truly ground-breaking creatives seem to do both here and around the world. Whack your name on the door, your balls on the wall and go for it.
It’s time to get together, it’s time to start it right…
Good general point Jase but Lachie is already a part owner of Publicis in NZ so in effect has his scrotum already well and truly in place.
A gentleman and truly world-class creative who spends time on the work not big noting himself. Will def be one to watch.

Heard it all before fellas – nothing new here – back to the drawing board
I love that Sign On campaign! It’s really struck a nerve. What a good and right way to kick off a venture Lachlan. I have it on good understanding that the Government has actually shifted its climate position on the back of the campaign’s momentum.
Oh come on Jase, most people who start their own agency lose their balls almost immediately because they quickly realise there’s more money in pragmatism.
And if that doesn’t work, they try to make a quick dollar by selling the agency to big multi-national.
WK, Nathan?
All this talk of balls is making me….something.
Good luck to you Lachie. I worked with him more than 10 years ago, when we were both still quite junior – and he’d be in a select group of creatives who’ve worked out the right balance of intelligence, business smarts, wit, charm and bloody-mindedness. A good bloke.
Good point Jase,
Tell me, what’s the name of your start-up?
Hanko.
Unfortunately, as a middleweight creative, it would be somewhat suicidal to reveal all on this blog.
Trust me when I say, though, that I am genuinely working on it.
Having said that, your point is a bit lame. A movie critic doesn’t need to necessarily be a director, do they?

My point is lame?
I’d be on the next plane to Lourdes if I were you.
I also have a leading edge company that has stripped away many of the formalities and processes brought by the traditional agency structure…but i call it Freelance.
Movie critics are idiots.
Guys,
Can we get back to what Natalie is thinking about….
I wouldn’t cross Hanko.
I excitedly went looking for the website but there wasn’t one:(
Who the fuck is Hanko and why should He not be crossed?
Get back on track people.
Lachie is a class act and has and will do good in whatever he does.
Best of luck to him and his crew.
The rumour is that Mojo is all musical chairs at the moment.
Music coming to a rapid stop. Not enough chairs. First the workers, then perhaps the odd, so-called, heavy hitter. How many CD’s do you really need in tight times?
The Loft huh?
Nice chess move.
I reckon Lachie is a top bloke. Good luck to you sir.
Can we comment on Lachie’s hair yet?
