Creative legend Ron Mather has parted company with Tony Greenwood to start his own company, It’s the thought that counts. Says Mather: “Tony is still continuing on and there’s no bad feelings,I just thought I would rather do my own thing.”

Monty, surely you’ve been consulted on this move? Just checking.
Unrelated but…. Lynchy? Where’s the VB Gold campaign? It’s on Shots.net before CB? (Surely there’s some hungry cubs to feed.)
We need a post on the Droga 5 spots.
Franklin Gothic I believe, how very Ron.
I agree 4:31. Droga5 was all over CB. Now it’s launched the VB campaign we’ve been hearing about all year and there’s not a peep? Can someone explain?
Most people like their sketches in comedy shows and their ads as, well, in ads funnily enough.
I think I’ll get Larry David to write my next ad, he’s really funny.
I’ll tell you why. Because it has generated its fair share of controversy already. And if this blog unleashes its fury over that little episode, god knows where it will end. It will probably crash the system.
So much for the second coming. It’s just as forgettable and boring as all the advertising ‘they’ were sent from above to save us from.
Their propaganda department rivals the best of them. It’s like 1984. A whole alternate universe where the company line doesn’t match reality.
Nice paintings
Beautiful paintings. Good luck Ron.
Why talk about those other ads – is’nt this supposed to be a creative blog? Ron is a fine artist rather than a mouth piece.
Holy Shit.

Why is this not being blogged about???
They’re starting to resemble our Nicole Kidman:
Controlling. Paranoid. Overhyped.
Hey,
Rules for rip off merchants: Number 1•
Rip off good stuff and people might not hate you so much.
Be stupid enough to rip off shit and you’ll be burned at the stake.
Who’s got the matches?
they used the actual director so they payed for it.
but it’s a shame that the public won’t know that, and as well, it’s kind of a lame sketch.
what happened to the big boofy blokey stuff patts was doing – now that, was piss funny.
Problem is ‘that’ agency is just that, another agency. They will have their hits, they will have their misses, they will win a few shiny things every now and then and that’s it. No Midas touch, no infallibility, no super-powers. The hype they generate is not entirely their fault, as it’s the media that panders to the whole ‘phenomenon’ thing. Their first offering is unfortunately, well, a miss. And word on the street is that the client isn’t impressed. Which is kinda funny since they approved it. Silly isn’t it?
I love it when anonymous people say “word on the street is…” it makes me feel like I work for the C.I.A.
Look, when you dump your agency of 40 years and give your account to a brand new shop, you kinda have to run what they give you. At least at first.
Wouldn’t have a clue, but it wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility that the client could both approve this campaign AND be a bit underwhelmed.
I suspect the patts boys in melbourne are looking at this stuff and thinking “we lost the account… for THIS?”
Oh, and Bendigo Bank better win metal for their C*NT TVC. Because there’s no way known that wasn’t deliberate. Funniest thing on TV in years.
I can’t believe they can get away with such a direct rip-off! They haven’t even tried to change anything about it.
