Mark Green to lead Accenture Interactive for Australia and NZ; Justin Drape and Scott Nowell step into co-chief creative officer roles
Accenture has announced Mark Green (right) as its new lead for Accenture Interactive Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), effective immediately.
Green is currently group CEO and co-founder of award-winning creative agency The Monkeys which was acquired by Accenture in 2017. Green will maintain his role as group CEO of The Monkeys.
In his new role, Green will focus on continuing to grow Accenture Interactive’s business in the local marketplace, working with leading brands across Australia and New Zealand to transform their customer experiences as they look to compete in the digital age.
Justin Drape (centre) and Scott Nowell (left), also co-founders of The Monkeys, have both been appointed to the newly created roles of co-chief creative officers for Accenture Interactive, Australia New Zealand. Drape and Nowell will maintain their roles as co-chief creative officers of The Monkeys.
Says Bob Easton, chairman, Accenture ANZ: “Mark takes up the helm at Accenture Interactive at a very exciting time, as demand for services in this part of our business continues to grow at pace and at scale, reflecting the demand by our clients for offerings in brand strategy, design, marketing, content and commerce.”
Says Green: “This is a new adventure for me personally and represents the next chapter in expanding a part of the Accenture business which harnesses creativity to help organisations close the gap between brand promise and customer experience. Since the acquisition of The Monkeys by Accenture two years ago, we have demonstrated the power of combining consulting, creativity and technology under one roof; this not only provides unbelievable advantage for clients, but also opens up a world of new career opportunities for employees.”
Green started The Monkeys with creative partners Scott Nowell and Justin Drape in June 2006.

Huge news. Gotta take your hat off to the guys.
Very confusing.
Nick Garrett to take over as National CEO of the Monkeys.
Cue mass Melbourne redundancies.
Grab some popcorn.
And already wearing suits.
Not bad going for a creative team and a suit from the ‘difficult ‘ period at Saatchis.
Good guys.
Good agency.
Good story.
I swear Greeny looks taller in real life.
