MADC announces DDB Melbourne as sponsor
The MADC welcomes DDB Melbourne on board, joining The Age as one of the club’s major sponsors.
DDB Melbourne managing director Nick Condon (pictured left) says the sponsorship deal is part of the Agency’s commitment to supporting creativity in Melbourne.
Says Condon: “The MADC is a highly valued and much loved institution of the Melbourne advertising and design community. I feel it’s important that agencies like DDB commit their support and put their resources behind the club, to ensure its ongoing development and prosperity.
Condon added: “Having a strong professional body such as the MADC is really important for the Melbourne advertising and design industries as a whole. We just thought we’d put our money where our mouth is.”
MADC President, Nigel Dawson, says the support of big agencies is vital to the Club.
Says Dawson: “Nick Condon has been on the MADC Committee for a number of years and has always been one of the first to put his hand up to help. Now he’s formalising that generosity.”
The MADC relies on the financial and in-kind support from its sponsors to run its numerous events throughout the year such as Creative Raw, the MADC Ignition student mentoring program and the MADC Presents lecture series. Sponsors for 2012 are: DDB Melbourne, The Age, Exit Films, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, AdStream, DubSat, AudioNet and Risk Sound.
