Australian drag sensation Courtney Act, aka Shane Jenek, is the latest icon to have a wax-double at Madame Tussauds Sydney, as a feature icon within the brand new PRIDE zone, developed by Banter.

The immersive PRIDE zone celebrates the beauty, richness and diversity of the LGTBQIA+ community. Courtney Act’s wax figure is set against a 3D Rainbow and brilliant shimmering wall. An interactive experience enables guests to place their phone in a holder and ‘Feel like a Queen’, capturing the perfect photo moment with the queen, whilst fans move the tassels on Courtney’s fabulous outfit.

Guests can also ‘Join the Pride Parade’ with an interactive experience allowing them to create their very own fabulous Pride outfit in front of augmented reality mirrors.

This interactive space merging the physical and digital worlds is another step in a new direction for Madame Tussauds, spearheaded by Banter.

Says Mitchell Loadsman, co-founder, Banter: “It’s an honour to be part of creating such a meaningful space, championing Pride for all of the world to see. To once again partner with the iconic Madame Tussauds is an absolute pleasure.”

Says Matt Meszaros, marketing manager, Madame Tussauds Sydney: “The vision for our Pride Zone was to create a fully interactive space where guests from Australia and around the globe could celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in the most fun way possible! Banter have delivered an incredible space that met all of our objectives, and it was fantastic to work with them again on this world-first project”
