Leo Burnett Melbourne snares Luc Wiesman from George Patterson Y&R for digital head role
Leo Burnett Melbourne has bolstered its digital leadership with the appointment of Luc Wiesman as digital head.
Wiesman was formerly head of digital strategy at George Patterson Y&R, Melbourne.
Wiesman comes to Leo Burnett with over ten years experience and has worked across both digital and integrated accounts, including the Australian Defence Force, Schweppes, Cadbury and AFL.
At Leo Burnett, he will work across the agency’s client portfolio, which includes SEEK, 7-Eleven, Nintendo, Giant and General Mills.
Says Jason Williams, Leo Burnett executive creative director: “I felt dubious about hiring a
redhead, but we know Luc’s got great digital expertise. Most importantly, he understands the importance of ideas and technology working together.”
Adds Melinda Geertz, Leo Burnett CEO: “Luc will definitely add fire power. He’s a talented guy with a wealth of expertise and a genuine respect for creativity and ideas. He’s a rare breed and we’re delighted he’s here.”
