Leslie Ali becomes a Monkey
Award-winning US creative Leslie Ali joined Three Drunk Monkeys this week as the agency continues to grow, and will team up with creative director Noah Regan.
Ali started her career art directing ads for Nike and Coca-Cola at Wieden & Kennedy Portland. She has since worked as a copywriter, creative director and ECD at WCRS and BMP London, and her work has been recognised and awarded by numerous international award shows, including D&AD, Cannes, BTA and The One Show.
After going back to film school in NY (TISCH), Ali began directingfull-time in 2005. She is currently represented for commercial and filmwork by Partizan London.
While directing commercials in the UK (MTV,Mortal Kombat, The Guardian, Cadbury’s, Budweiser, Nivea,) she wasawarded a commission by Film London to make her short film, The Object,which was picked as an official selection of the Sundance Film Festivalin 2008. This was followed by a project for Nike in Shanghai, a stationident campaign for Channel 5 and a music video for Maximo Park.
Onjoining the Monkeys, Ali said: “I’m spoiled for choice with the talentpool here. And really look forward to working with Noah.”

I just saw this short film. At first, I was just bewildered and confused. “What the hell was that?” But I soon found that it’s actually pretty funny. I applaud her.
