Land Rover Discovery tows a mighty road train across the Australian outback via The Precinct
The latest content release from Land Rover captures the action behind the scenes as the All-New Discovery attempts to tow a 110 Tonne Road Train across the Australian outback.
The Northern Territory was the ideal place to film the content with its iconic red dirt and huge monolith of Mt Conner in the distance. With 20km of highway closed and the oversized road train unable to turn around, the production came with its share of challenges. After weeks of planning the vehicles, engineers and film crew all came through with the goods.
Says Henry Motteram, executive producer, The Precinct: “It’s gigs like this that get us out of bed in the morning – no matter how challenging the shoot is, at the end of the day we’re filming a car towing a 100 metre road train in the outback and that’s just cool.”
The content including an extended edit, social edits and stills photography has been shared via Land Rover’s owned channels along with automotive media outlets throughout the world, ensuring a viewership of 250,000 to date.
This is the second Land Rover campaign produced by The Precinct this year; following on from the successful Land Rover Discovery launch campaign that aired across TV, cinemas and digital.
