KTQ Group appoints Stellar as PR agency for ‘Kirra Point’ precinct

Premium lifestyle communications agency Stellar has been appointed by award-winning development group KTQ Group to manage the public relations for its new ‘Kirra Point’ precinct on the southern Gold Coast.

Family-owned and run KTQ Group (Elements of Byron) led by owner and visionary, Peggy Flannery, has spent 11 years carefully bringing the vision for Kirra Point to life, working in partnership with architect Mark Damant from Little Boat Projects. Designed to preserve the integrity of Kirra’s coastal lifestyle and richness of its deeply rooted local character, Kirra Point is an aspirational destination where the local community and visitors alike can experience the magic of Kirra.

This sparkling stretch of sand and sea holds a special place in Australian surf culture, producing some of the most perfect wave breaks in the country. Not surprisingly, Kirra is home to many of Australia’s surfing elite along with an emerging community of creatives. Situated only five minutes from the Gold Coast airport and in between Burleigh and Byron Bay, the coastal gem has long been an insider’s secret.

Stellar has been working on the launch strategy for Kirra Point which will reveal the first of its Stage 1 venues this November – the re-opening of the iconic Kirra Beach Hotel. Having stood proudly as a local icon and community landmark since 1956, the revitalised pub is the anchor and soul of Kirra Point and will continue to be a friendly, no-fuss favourite, honouring the fabric of its past and keeping the locals at its heart.

Stellar’s remit includes developing and executing a strategic communications plan to see the launch of Kirra Point through from vision to individual venue launches and ultimately a fully operational precinct that will offer hospitality, retail, boutique hotel, short stay accommodation and residential apartments.

Says Hayley Cole and Gabrielle Sigelski, directors, Stellar: “This is an opportunity of a lifetime to be entrusted by KTG Group to work on bringing Peggy’s Kirra Point vision and its stories to life.  Our team felt an instant connection with the project, the people behind it and the incredible location of Kirra that it resides in.  We are thoroughly enjoying dipping our toes into the glistening waters of the southern Gold Coast which has been an exciting geographic expansion for the agency. This is an area that is delivering some incredible, world-class hospitality concepts and is certainly one to watch.”

Stage one of Kirra Point includes the already sold-out ‘Miles’ residential tower, 116 apartments boasting an unrivalled north-facing ocean front perspective and setting a new standard of lifestyle living on the Southern Gold Coast, as well as two of the most exciting hospitality destinations to ever hit the Gold Coast just in time for summer.

The distinct yet complementary hospitality venues located directly opposite the beach, Kirra Beach Hotel and Kirra Beach House, will open in time for summer and are set to become major draw cards for both locals and visitors who are keen to soak up the magic of Kirra.
