Kneebone to head MADC Awards jury

KNEEBONE.jpgJonathan Kneebone, creative head of The Glue Society, has been appointed Chairman of Judges for the 2009 MADC Awards.

Says Kneebone: “Of the many shows I’ve been asked to judge in the past,MADC stands apart as the one that always seems to get things right. Thework that is genuinely the freshest always seems to be the work that’smost rewarded. And politics always seems to step aside for actualtalent. I’m looking forward to being part of what is already shaping upto be a great year for Victorian agencies.”

Kneebone is a writer/director at The Glue Society, the independentcreative collective he co-founded in 1998 with Gary Freedman. The GlueSociety now features 10 writers, designers and directors working out ofoffices in Sydney and New York.

“For many years now Jonathan has been a creative that I have bothadmired and respected and in thinking of the person that I wanted mostin this crucial role of Chair it was really a no-brainer for me. It’sgoing to be an absolute privilege and honour to have someone likeJonathan involved with this year’s judging,” said Christy Peacock,President of the MADC.

The MADC Committee is currently approaching judges for this year’s MADCAwards. Call for Entries will open Wednesday 15th April and will closeWednesday 27th May. Judging will be conducted early July with Finalistsreleased following this, and the winners will be celebrated at the MADCPresentation Evening on Friday 28th August, 2009 at Atlantic, Docklands.
