Ken signs to AIRBAG

AIRBAG has announced the addition of director Ken Karpel to the family.

Says Renae Begent, executive producer, AIRBAG: “I’ve been a huge fan of Ken’s work for some time. He crafts distinct and visually striking work, driven by authentic and emotional storytelling.”

Born in Ukraine and raised in Australia, Karpel has been living in New York and shooting around the globe for the past 5 years. This kinetic energy can be felt in his work creating cinematic stories with humanity, heart and humour.

His award-winning work includes campaigns for internationally recognised brands such as Adidas, Jeep, Toyota, Optus, Nestle, UniCredit Bank and First Private Brewery.

Karpel’s writing and directing credits include film and television work for Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Marvel, Sony and Warner Bros.

Says Karpel: “After five years working overseas, I’m excited to be back in Australia and call AIRBAG home. There’s an incredible amount of talent here and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
