Jungleboys signs Van Vuuren brothers
Jungleboys have further strengthened their comedy offering with the signing of Van Vuuren Bros made up of Christiaan (right) and Connor (left). Famous for producing online hits such as “The Fully Sick Rapper” and “Bondi Hipsters”, the brothers have one of the fastest growing online channels.
They have directed work for some of Australia’s National Broadcasters (including the one hour comedy “SICK!” for MTV), as well as for brands such as Coke, Sony, Ikea, Cadbury, AMEX, and Unilever. They have also just directed some sketches for Jungleboys’ online comedy sketch show “The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting”.
Says Jason Burrows, Jungleboys’ executive producer: “Jungleboys has established a solid reputation for producing iconic multi platform campaigns, and the Van Vuurens are a perfect addition to the team. Their knowledge of the online world is unmatched, as is their success rate. They’re also a good cultural fit, being mates with some of our directors and producers already.”
Says Christiaan Van Vuuren: “We have been impressed by the attitude that Jungleboys takes towards supporting their directors in all creative avenues, and we’re particularly excited by the long form work that Jungleboys has been getting involved in. The Jungleboys office has a great energy, and it seems like a place where directors are not only encouraged, but really given the opportunity to pursue peripheral creative projects, which is very important for us”.
Says Connor Van Vuuren: “We’re stoked to be Jungleboys. It’s just as cool as it sounds. We’ve become part of this awesome collaborative environment, which is also very nurturing of individuality, and appreciative of our good-lookingness.”
