JOY appoints former whiteGREY CD Libby Young to the role of creative director

Integrated agency JOY has appointed Libby Young as its new creative director to help support a plethora of recent client wins for the agency.

With over 18 years of experience in marketing, Young’s new role will have her overseeing all things creative at JOY, including developing an expanding team and preparing for further growth.

Young joins JOY from whiteGREY where she also held the position of creative director and worked closely with Westfield AUNZ during her tenure. Prior to her time at whiteGREY, she worked at Sibling Agency, The Kinetic Agency, and Ogilvy.

Says Young: “I am thrilled to join the team and look forward to working with such a talented bunch of individuals in creating work that is meaningful, connects and hopefully ‘sparks joy’.”

Further recent appointments at JOY include Robyn Hayward as head of finance, Adrian Mok at art director, Axi Cooper as account manager, Siobhan Ryan as digital manager and Hayley Dwight at social executive. The recent swelling of ranks comes after JOY added five new brands to its client roster.

Says Martin Patton, principal of JOY: “This has been an incredible year of growth for JOY so far. We’re fortunate to have many new clients come to us seeking integrated plans that push beyond the norms, they’re seeking total business solutions to crack the codes to growth.  As a result of this steady demand, we’re delighted to have Libby joins us as our new creative director. She comes with a wealth of rich industry experience and innovative, curious energy.

“Each of our new roles is integral to the success of our whole agency and each individual helps improve and further our carefully formed company culture. This is why we’re thrilled to also have Robyn, Axi, and Siobhan join the JOY family. Each of them are proving to be an incredible fit for our team and their additions have made us match-fit and ready to take on more work than ever.”
