Merv director and photographer Jonathan May has directed 15 films and photographed over 50 images for Qatar’s new tourism campaign created by Akcelo.

Ranging from diverse subjects such as rally champions, artists and pearl divers, May’s 15 short films for the “Voices of Qatar” campaign give a voice to the colourful and diverse individuals that lead Qatar in their respective fields.

The stills, that run in tandem with the films, are captured by May for the “Qatar Now” book that will be delivered to all major hotels and tourist outlets.

May’s ability in finding the balance between meeting production needs and connecting with his subject matter is what made this campaign a reality and a successful one at that. His films and images are infused with warmth, progress, fun, and vitality, reflective of Qatar – its people and its places.
