Jake Hird returns to dentsu to drive strategy and growth for dentsu B2B

Dentsu has appointed Jake Hird as Executive Vice President – Strategy & Growth, dentsu B2B, focused on supercharging the strategy and growth of the B2B business.

Following a professional break, the appointment sees Hird return to dentsu, where he was formerly Vice President Strategy at dentsu B2B in Asia Pacific for more than six years. Boasting over 15 years of experience, Hird’s career has spanned Accenture, Publicis Sapient and Econsultancy.

Reporting to Rob Harvey, CEO dentsu ANZ, Hird will primarily focus on strategic solutions to grow Australia’s B2B practice.

Global B2B marketing is undergoing a rapid transformation, with digital ad spend forecast set to reach US $48.15bn by 2026 as brands accelerate investment in connected, data-driven growth strategies.

Recognised as the #1 Global B2B Marketing Agency this year, dentsu B2B brings deep subject matter expertise across insight, creative, customer experience management and media, creating integrated teams around client requirements. Operating out of the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific, dentsu B2B works alongside some of the world’s largest brands to drive measurable commercial impact and redefine how organisations grow in the digital economy.

Says Rob Harvey, dentsu ANZ CEO: “It’s great to have Jake return to dentsu. When talented people choose to come back, it says a lot about the strength of our culture, the partnerships we’ve built with clients, and the momentum we’re creating across the business. Our B2B practice has seen incredible growth this year and there’s a real opportunity to double down on this capability in Australia. Jake’s deep expertise will help take it to the next level as we continue to expand and evolve.”

Says Hird: “Returning to dentsu is motivating. It’s a business evolving fast, with the right mix of ambition, creativity and care. I’m looking forward to working alongside so many talented people across the network to strengthen our B2B presence and help clients tap into the full power of dentsu.”

The appointment is effective immediately, with Hird being based in Sydney.
