Jaggad and OCRF launch new collection and campaign to raise funds for ovarian cancer

For the first-time, high-performance Australian sportswear brand Jaggad is partnering with the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) in 2025 to release a special, two-piece collection dedicating 100% of gross proceeds from sales to medical research in ovarian cancer through the OCRF.

The OCRF Boxy Tee, a unisex design featuring exclusive OCRF-inspired graphics, and the Turquoise Bay Sweater in bold teal will be available exclusively at the Jaggad online store. The collection will launch as part of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (OCAM), an annual month for raising awareness and advocacy in February. OCAM is key moment for the ovarian cancer community, peer organisations, oncologists and researchers, to bring Australia’s most lethal reproductive cancer into the national dialogue and to broaden understanding of the disease among the general public.

Jaggad Co-Owner Steven Greene, says that Jaggad is dedicated to changing the tide on ovarian cancer, a women’s disease that has been historically overlooked and underfunded: “As a leading women’s lifestyle and sportswear brand, we are deeply invested in advancing understanding and accelerating research into this cancer that takes too many women’s lives in Australia, and a disease that is currently without enough options to detect, treat and prevent it.”

The inaugural campaign features OCRF team member Aimee, and her brother Mitch (pictured above), who recount their late mum Lisa’s personal experience with ovarian cancer, honouring her undeniable strength and positive disposition.

Diagnosed during the pandemic on the opposite side of the country to her two children, Lisa found solace during her treatment of late-stage ovarian cancer by walking along the picturesque, rugged coastline of Western Australia.

Offering stability and calmness, the ocean helped Lisa maintain a hopeful outlook– hope for herself, and for every other woman and family facing an ovarian cancer diagnosis. Aimee and her brother Mitch tragically lost their mum, Lisa, to the disease in 2022.

Says Aimee Kendall, daughter of Lisa Kendall: “Mum was an incredible woman, who was active and healthy with a true zest for life. Raising us on the coast of Western Australia throughout the 90s, we have the most precious memories surrounded by a community with a positive mindset and beautiful Aussie lifestyle surrounded by surf, sand and the sea. We’re so honoured to see this created in the 2025 Jaggad OCRF collection.

“While funding critical research won’t change what happened to our mum and our family, we have hope – like our mum did – that the tide will change on ovarian cancer for future generations.”

The OCRF is Australia’s leading independent funder of ovarian cancer medical research in Australia. Its vision is a healthy vital future for all those impacted by ovarian cancer, a goal that it’s achieving through raising funds, promoting greater awareness, advocacy, and, crucially, enabling high-impact research.

Funds raised via the Jaggad collection will contribute to medical research through the peer-reviewed OCRF National Research Grants Program, and will support scientists to find methods to better detect, treat and prevent ovarian cancer.

All OCRF funds are raised by the Australian community including corporate partners like Jaggad, who share its vision for change, and is determined to take action.

Says Robin Penty, CEO, OCRF: “Changing the course of ovarian cancer is no easy feat, but the OCRF is determined and confident we will turn the tide for this disease. This will only be achieved through the support of our growing community. We thank and praise Jaggad, an Australian women’s activewear brand for generously committing to Australian research toward a brighter future for all women and girls.”

Jaggad was introduced to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation through Club 1054, the OCRF corporate donor network established in partnership with AIA.

The Jaggad t-shirt will retail for $49 and the sweater for $89. All proceeds from these two pieces will go directly to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
