InvestorKit says ‘I do’ to data in new campaign for Arjun Paliwal’s debut book via Sharehouse

InvestorKit has unveiled a new creative campaign for the launch of InvestorKit CEO and Head of Research Arjun Paliwal’s debut book, Driving the Data: How You Can Dream, Buy and Thrive in the Property Market. Developed in collaboration with Sharehouse, the creative video takes an unconventional approach to promoting a property investment book, using the metaphor of marriage to explore the emotional and financial commitment involved in buying an investment property.

The move comes from Australia’s leading strategic property advisory firm, recently crowned Residential Buyer’s Agency of the Year at the 2025 REB Innovation Awards, following consecutive wins in the Buyer’s Agency of the Year category at the 2023 and 2024 REB Awards.

The concept draws a powerful parallel: just like choosing a life partner, selecting the right investment property requires discernment, patience and trust. When chosen wisely, your “partner” can become an asset that supports your happiness, stability and wealth creation. But if chosen poorly, the consequences can be lifelong.

Through cinematic storytelling and subtle humour, the video challenges Australians to stop making property decisions based on familiarity, emotion, or advice from well-meaning family and friends, and instead, to trust the data.

“Buying a property isn’t a fling – it’s a lifelong commitment,” says Paliwal. “Too often, people get caught up in emotion, whether it’s the suburb they grew up in or the advice they hear at a BBQ. This campaign was designed to make people stop and think: am I marrying the right property, or just following my feelings?”

The campaign will run across digital and social platforms as part of the promotional rollout for Driving the Data, Paliwal’s debut book that distils insights from more than a decade of research and thousands of real-life transactions. The book aims to empower Australians to make confident, evidence-based investment decisions in a market often driven by hype and hearsay.

The creative direction marks another milestone in InvestorKit’s push to make property investing accessible, human and story-led; bridging the gap between hard data and relatable, everyday decision-making.

“At InvestorKit, we’ve always believed that data doesn’t have to be boring,” Paliwal adds. “This video brings that philosophy to life. It’s smart, emotional and a bit cheeky, but ultimately it’s about helping Australians build better futures through smarter decisions.”

Driving the Data is available for pre-order now ahead of its official launch on November 25. For more information visit https://www.investorkit.com.au/driving-the-data-book/.
