Intrepid Travel and Tourism and Events NT showcase low season adventures in the Red Centre in new campaign via Alt/shift/
Intrepid Travel, in partnership with Tourism and Events NT, has unveiled a new content film featuring adventurer Gina Chick, showcasing the low season beauty in the Northern Territory (NT) part of a new campaign via Alt/shift/.
Joined by friends Catriona Mitchell and Karina Bontes, Chick journeyed through the iconic Red Centre on a four-day experience enriched with First Nations-led cultural activities, offering travellers an authentic connection to Country and its people.
Known for her raw and honest storytelling, Chick was a natural choice to front the campaign. Her deep connection to nature and her ability to inspire Australians to explore with meaning aligns seamlessly with Intrepid and Tourism and Events NT’s shared goal of encouraging travellers to engage more thoughtfully with Country and culture.
The series is designed to inspire women to embrace small-group adventure, highlighting the joy, empowerment and meaningful connections that come from travelling off the beaten path. As part of the campaign, viewers are invited to enter the ‘Win a Trip for Two to the NT’ competition for a chance to experience the magic of the NT firsthand.
The Red Centre is home to a number of incredible tourism experiences, many of which Chick and her friends were lucky enough to immerse themselves in while on the ground in Central Australia. Some of these included a guided Kuniya Walk with Aṉangu Traditional Owners within Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park, the mesmerising Field of Light by renowned artist Bruce Munro, the iconic Kings Canyon Rim Walk in Watarrka National Park, swimming at natural waterholes such as Ormiston Gorge in Tjoritja/West MacDonnell National Park and glamping at Yalka Eco Stays within the breathtaking Finke Gorge National Park.
Says Staci Mellman, Chief Marketing Officer of Tourism and Events NT: “We’re thrilled to partner with Intrepid Travel on a campaign that highlights the NT as the go-to destination for travellers with a sense of adventure who are looking for off-the-beaten-track experiences and meaningful cultural connection. Now is the perfect time to visit the Territory and discover the beauty of the low season, with fewer crowds, great travel deals and the chance to connect more deeply with our iconic landscapes and rich cultural experiences.”
Says Robyn Nixon, Project Manager, Intrepid Domestic: “With Gina leading the journey, we’re showcasing the unique experiences, cultural connections and transformative adventures that travellers can only get with Intrepid. This campaign is about celebrating real experiences, real people and the joy of adventuring together.”
The campaign reinforces Intrepid Travel and Tourism and Events NT’s shared commitment to sustainable, responsible tourism and to creating experiences that go beyond the typical itinerary.
