Inspiring Journeys whip cab passengers off to Kakadu in new campaign via Arnold Furnace
Inspiring Journey is launching a new experiential campaign to raise awareness of the company’s Top End itineraries via Arnold Furnace.
The campaign centres around The Kakadu Cab, a regular Sydney taxi with a twist. When a person gets in the cab they are offered a choice and given only 15 seconds to decide. They can go to their intended destination, or be immediately whipped off to Kakadu courtesy of Inspiring Journeys. The winners’ journeys will be documented to create content to showcase Kakadu and the trips Inspiring Journeys has to offer in the Top End.
The cab will be on the streets of Sydney for two days and will offer four lucky couples the chance to escape to Kakadu. (Update: as of this morning two couples have already said yes).
Says Tammy Marshall, managing director, Inspiring Journeys: “Kakadu is one of those iconic Australian destinations that is on most people’s must see and do lists. But far too many people put it off until later in life when they really should be taking the time now to enjoy all that this amazing destination has to offer. The Kakadu Cab is a great way to add a bit of spontaneity to everyday life and remind everyone that the world heritage listed Kakadu, Australia’s premier destination for world class nature and culture is right on their doorstep and ready for them to explore. And the best way to see and do Kakadu is with Inspiring Journeys.”
Says Tom Spicer, executive creative director, Arnold Furnace: “What better way to challenge people’s propensity to put off visiting Kakadu than to get them to make a spontaneous choice. The Kakadu Cab is about shaking them off their conveyor belt and getting them to try something amazing, right now. At its heart it’s about exposing the dilemma between responsibility and adventure that exists to some degree in all our lives, we’re just dialing it up to the max.”

Onya Dougsie!!! Another platinum hit son!!! Now what’s the cab route… I’ll carry around my suitcase : )
Extraordinary taxi anyone?
I thought that at first having worked on the extraordinary taxi but they’re actually pretty different. Our thing was about showcasing WA in a taxi which was groundbreaking. This seems to be more about using the cab to make a snap decision so Im ok with it. Sure they both use taxis but that’s about it
Norh use taxis as the campaign vehicle for a destination they’re advertising. Carbon copy. Fair?
