Mick Hunter and Ian Morton, creative partners of Brain Surgery, Sydney took out third place at Tropfest last night with their film ‘The last roll of the dice’.
The film was produced by Luke Graham and directed by Matt Chuang through Scope Red Films. It’s the story of an unfortunately ugly girl who makes an online film in a last attempt to find love. Luckily for her, her Father owns Schwartz brewery in The MacQuarie Hotel in Wentworth Avenue in Sydney. Bel Della, who played the part of Kathy took out the best actress award.
Says Hunter: ” It’s an old gag, but it was perfect for what we wanted”.

Brilliant.
Hats off, lads.
Nice. Yet, I prefer hot girls playing guitar. That’s just me.
Woohoo! Congrats guys.
A very ad industry version of a Tropfest film, boys. A 30 second gag stretched all the way to a minute and a half. You had 7 minutes.
Tonight, 2 stars.
Love Margaret and David.
You’re so right 7.41. We did have 7 minutes, yet selfishly decided to keep five and a half up our sleeves. What were we thinking? Clearly we we not. Thank you for your insight.
And I’m glad you love Margaret and David, I quite like them as well.
Mick Hunter.
7:41. dude I didn’t mind it. I must have become comfortable I’m not the legendary icon I thought I was and writing ads is a nice way to make cash. I’d love to see your film work, I’m sure you’re every bit as brilliant as your light hearted, amusing comments.
Hmmm. Looks like an add with and ending tacked on to qualify.
If so, well done.
Brilliant
Good on you guys. Once again you’ve proved it’s not rocket science.
Well done. Comedy may not be rocket science but it is Brain Surgery.
Boom tish.
Congratulations Mick and Ian. Good honest fun.
It was good until the gag.
Cut to wide and reveal? Isn’t she filming herself on a handicam?
As always you boys are funny. I was there, the crowd loved it!!
I like Mick and Ian’s ads, not such a big fan of this.
The actress’ name is Bel Delia.
Also it’s spelt with an accent Bel Deliá
