Howatson+Company snares creative director duo Letizia Bozzolini and Justin Butler from Special

Howatson+Company has announced the appointment of Letizia Bozzolini and Justin Butler as creative directors.

Gavin Chimes, Chief Creative Officer at Howatson+Company, says of the appointment: “We’re thrilled to welcome Letizia and Justin to Howatson+Company. Not only have they created some of our country’s best work, they’re lovely humans too. We know they’re going to have a great impact on our team and clients.”

Prior to joining, Bozzolini and Butler were at Special Australia and prior to that, Special New Zealand, where the pair worked on a range of brands and campaigns including Kathmandu ‘Summer Never Sleeps‘ and ANZ’s ‘Doppelfalcons’. Their creative contributions helped earn Special New Zealand two Campaign Brief Agency of the Year titles in 2020 and again in 2022, in addition to New Zealand Agency of the Year in Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 2022.

Bozzolini started her career in Milan working at Grey and Ogilvy before relocating to Ogilvy Sydney in 2016 as a senior creative. After a year and a half at Ogilvy, Bozzolini joined CHEP Network as associate CD, where she worked on the highly acclaimed Cochlear ‘Hearprint‘ campaign. After seven months at CHEP, she joined Leo Burnett Sydney as associate CD.

Prior to joining Special Auckland, Butler spent over three and a half years at BMF working on major clients including ALDI, TAL Insurance and Tourism Tasmania. Before that he spent two years at OgilvyOne in Sydney.

Throughout their careers, their work has consistently been recognised for its effectiveness, creativity and craft, winning at every major award show including D&AD, Cannes, AWARD, One Show, Clio, WARC and Effies.

The announcement of Bozzolini and Butler follows a string of new hires within the agency following the news Myer had appointed Howatson+Company as its lead creative and production agency.
