Howatson+Company retains carbon neutral status, reinforcing commitment to sustainability

Howatson+Company has retained its Carbon Neutral status, cementing its commitment to reducing its environmental impact and inspiring meaningful change.

Partnering with leading carbon advisory firm Pathzero, Howatson+Company conducts a comprehensive evaluation of its carbon footprint, treating every aspect of its operations with the same scrutiny as a forensic audit. For the 2023–2024 financial year, the agency recorded 5,181 tonnes of carbon emissions—a reflection of its continued growth, including the opening of its new Surry Hills office, ‘Bundarra.’

To ensure complete transparency, all emissions data has been verified by an independent third-party auditor. This rigorous process is conducted annually, with Pathzero providing full audits to help the agency accurately track and manage its carbon footprint as it scales.

To offset its emissions, Howatson+Company is investing in impactful, locally certified projects across the APAC region, including:
• The New Leaf Carbon Project in Tasmania
• The April Salumei Rainforest Conservation in Papua New Guinea
• The Thiaki Rainforest Restoration in Queensland

These initiatives, certified by Climate Active and the Australian Government, match every tonne of carbon generated with meaningful action that supports both local and global environmental efforts.

By achieving Climate Active certification, Howatson+Company joins a select group of forward-thinking companies across Australia, highlighting its unwavering dedication to creating a positive and lasting impact on people, culture, and the planet.
