Howatson+Company chief strategy officer Dom Hickey set to depart after three years

Dom Hickey will leave Howatson+Company, where she has held the Chief Strategy Officer position for the last three years, after easter, to take a career break.
Says Hickey: “Working at Howatson has been an extraordinary experience. It’s an agency like nowhere else I’ve worked in the industry. Howie has built one of the most impressive indies in Australia with a talent line up that’s unmatched. It’s been an enormous privilege to have been part of the first few years of the agency.
“The past three years have seen transformational growth for both the agency and me professionally. Leaving the agency is a personal decision to take some time to pause. There are no big reveals on the way”.
Says Chris Howatson, Founder and CEO: “Dom (Dom-a-hawk) is a loved member and disproportional contributor to the people and clients of H+Co. She cares fiercely about the work, her team, the agency and clients. She’s been a huge part of our agency and while we’re saying farewell for now in her current role, we’re anticipating her return to the agency in some capacity in the future.”
Having worked at Howatson+Company for three years, Hickey was responsible for building and leading the strategic product, deepening relationships with existing clients and attracting new ones. She was a key contributor to industry recognition including 2024 Contagious Pioneer, Cannes, AdNews, B&T and Mumbrella Independent agency of the year and most recently Campaign Brief Agency of the year for 2024. The agency has also been recognised at the APAC and Australian Effies.
Notable work includes Modibodi’s ‘I’m Dying Inside’, ABC’s ‘The great unsubscribe’, ‘Second Favorite Beer’ for Matilda Bay and Domain’s brand platform ‘Know what we know’ currently featuring Rose Byrne and Bobby Carnevale.
