History made in new campaign for the Kia EV6 via Innocean Australia, directed by Rabbit’s Kiku Ohe
A new campaign for the Kia EV6, developed by Innocean Australia, recently went live, featuring heavily in Kia’s successful sponsorship and takeover of the 2022 Australian Open.
The main film, directed by Kiku Ohe from Rabbit, is a sonic and visual journey through time. It pays homage to modes of transportation and the historic feats of engineering that came before the EV6. From horsepower to coal and steam, to wind and combustion engines to the motor car, every sound was expertly crafted to reflect the movement of the EV6 by Jake and Sam Ashwell of 750mph, London.
In the film’s final stages the actual futuristic sound and silent elegance of the EV6 is heard.
Says Effie Kacopieros, creative director at Innocean: “The new Kia EV6 is a pioneering feat of automotive design and represents the huge momentum and evolution of the brand. We wanted to capture the EV6’s modern design and advanced technology, so sought the best craftspeople across the globe to showcase its beauty and innovation as a sensorial experience.”
To complement the sensory and kinetic soundscape, the film was beautifully shot on location by DOP Jeremy Rouse. Visual animations were created bespoke by The Noise Diary in New York, and all seamlessly brought together by Adam Wills and Fin Design + Effects here in Australia.
Says Ohe: “By crafting a pure audio-visual piece that charts the evolution of transportation through sound, it shows just how advanced and refined the Kia EV6 really is.”
The TVC was accompanied by digital and OOH, and formed the basis of Channel 9’s AO partnership with Kia.

Well done!
…NAH!
It’s like someone found an old Tomato reel from the 90s and brought it to life.
It’s got a nod to horsepower, and rockets.
Looks good.
Pity it has no idea behind it.
Fluff doesn’t make car sales.
Yet another tvc from the advocates of all things digital
Well done Effie!!!
No idea?
The tag lines are nonsensical. Claptrap ruining some sophisticated production.
